 the male dancer

I have a three year old (four next month) When I asked him what he wanted to do for an extra activity,he told me he wanted to be a ballet dancer. His sister takes ballet, and he would always dance outside the class. I enrolled him in a class. (of course he's the only boy) His teacher is very grateful for him, but everyone else and their dog are giving me a hard time. A father of a girl in his class actually rolled his eyes at him. My son just loves to dance. Have you guys had a terrible time? Is there anything I should know? He's so adorable. He practices in his room all the time when he thinks nobody is watching.
