I have two lessons en pointe every week and i am the only guy at the ballet school who is doing en pointe. Before i started i had been watching the girls doing en pointe several times and i wished that i could learn it too. One day i asked the ballet teacher if i could join the class and she said yes. In the beginning i was not very good - now i can do en pointe as good as the girls. I have even been on stage once en pointe. The girls think it is cool that i am doing en pointe. The color of my shoes is no big deal for me - mine are pink and i dont feel like a girl in them. I think pink shoes and ribbons are the best for doing en pointe. Black would not be beatiful i think.
