I also wanted to inform you of my reasons for questioning the acceptability of pants in class. The studio I dance at does not specialize in ballet. We have an excellent ballet program, but we are a competing studio. Which means that much of our focus is spent on jazz and lyrical as well as tap, clogging, character, hip hop, ect. The girls I dance with are for the most part under the age of 17 with a few exceptions. These are the reasons I do not wear tights to class. I understand the need to see body lines, but I also see the need to feel comfortable in your surroundings. Being that I am the first guy to dance at my studio, it makes it even more difficult for me to start just wearing tight while in ballet. I'm not ashamed of my body in any way, but I feel as though many of the girls around me would feel uncomfortable. And I do not use the terms "girls" loosely. That is exactly what they are. And considering most of them still attend high school, and many of them are not as serious about dance as I am I think my choice of attire is appropriate.

Once again I thank you.
