I know when i was 17 i really wanted to do ballet aswell, but talking to your parents about it is really hard thing to do. But Ballet is worth the hassle id say you should just take a big breath and tell them straight out they might have a few things to say but hey you can deal with it. Or just tell them something like your friend wants you to come with him to try it or make up some excuse like that to break the ice.. Good luck and do it dont put it off any longer otherwise you will just keep thiking about it...
