packing - another viewpoint

DANCE DOC, you have hit the nail on the head and provided a fresh perspective.  I too initially assumed this message was from a wacko.  BUT, assuming the author was discussing the very legitimate matter of what we male dancers should wear under our tights, instead of a pseudo-erotic appeal to "look at me, I'm Johnny Wadd!" it is a topic worthy of discussion.  Since we can't probe the author's mind, we have to let the message stand on its own: RES IPSA LOQUITOR

I've never liked the way some dance belts leave a distinct bump at the top, with no "smoothing" back towards the stomach.  Maybe toilet paper IS the answer (I've also heard of lambswool being used inside a dance belt).  Whatever you wear under your tights, the basic idea is to create a smooth bulge that is an idealized representation of masculinity, rather than an anatomically correct lesson in male genitalia.
