I have been dancing for 5 years now. I constantly got teased by my school friends, from calling me a fairy to tippy toes. I don't care as I grew more and more in love with ballet. Although being the only boy in my ballet school is quite lonely, I am good enough to pass grade 7 RAD in just 5 years. My teacher says I have talent and am dancing with a scolarship from my ballet school. My father reluctantly come to see me perform and even he is changing his mind a bit about a boy dancing ballet. He gradually realise my effeminacy is in born and I can only express myself in ballet. I have just started taking pointe work 3 times a week and loved it.If you really like ballet, you should be brave enough, like me, You really don't have to care about the degrading comments about boys wearing leotards and tights, the girls in my dancing class giggled a lot at first, being the only boy, then they got used it and some even admired me when I started to become better than most of them.Go fit it.
