Just started  ballet in July. Taking 2 lessons a week for 1 hr. each. She just turned 17. Her teacher is telling her she wants to start her on pointe. Gave her bands to strengthen. I can't believe after reading these posts that she's ready for this, especially when most are 3-4 years into it. Is this possible?
