I use an Hom thong with full-leather-seated britches.  

Do you ever ride Western?  I tried jeans and a Western seat, and was in pain for three days afterwards.  I tried Western with my full-seated-leather britches and had fun.

Have you tried the jean-type britches that are available?  They are cotton with lycra rather than traditional britches which are nylon and lycra.  My personal jury is yet out on these.  They don't come with leather seats, which is my preference.

I prefer cotton/lycra dancewear when I take ballet classes.  But I haven't gotton used to cotton lycra britches, which are stiffer and less flexible than nylon/lycra britches.
