Oh, gosh, there's so much to be said about this...  (a) Yes, tightsare sexy to wear, at least at first, although in my own case theexcitement waned early on.  (b) Tights-clad girls are terrific; allthat skin-tight clothing meant to leave as little as possible tothe imagination...class sometimes seems to be like going to thebeach without having to worry about getting skin cancer from the UVradiation. :-) (c) There's an element of...well, ritual, for lackof a better word.  Humans tend to associate special activities withspecial clothing (academic garb for commencement, judges' robes, military uniforms, ecclesiatical vestments, etc.) & to me tightsare part of the ritual of ballet.

Yes, I'd still take class if there were no tights.  But there's nodenying that they add something to the experience.

[Shameless plug:]  For readers who are shy about tights, see theentry on my FAQ (on my home page), "I'm a guy! Do I have to weartights?"
