I prefer CoolMax running socks.  They are more comfortable than nylon, IMO, and have the added advantages of being both more durable, and able to handle sweat better.  They are a little more expensive than nylon, but, their durability makes this a worthwhile tradeoff. You can get CoolMax socks in any sporting goods store.
