109 pounds and 5' 6" tall is too heavy??? Bullsh*t!!! That kind of mental pressure is what drives too many ballerinas into eating disorders!! I work with ballerinas who are smaller and weigh 115 pounds!!

I think that this lovely ballerina was told to hang up her tights and pointes more because she had an affair with one of the Bolshoi Ballet's supporters, which ended quite nastily.

It was politics, not her weight that got this ballerina bounced!!!
