>It is not good to pull ligaments.>I would consult a professional's (doctor's) opinion if are getting hurt; or change instructors or something.   a bruise here and there because you bump yourself is one thing, a bruise due to a deep problem can become gangrenous and infected.  yuk.  Causing you more problems than you ever bargined for.i went to the doctor...i pulled ligaments and i have contusions in both ankles and knees and all because i dance too much and now i have to stay at home for a week or two ...so mystery solved.lol. my bones were just to weak and i wasnt ready to work so hard quite yet. im brused everywhere but they will go away and i now know some tricks to make them stay away.my dance teacher said to stop pushing so hard and i call it dedication...lol. but anyways now that i bored you for 5minutes! thanks for your help
